There is no religion which doesn't teach compassion. Love, tolerance and affection is preached by all religions. Compassion is the root of all reliogions.

It is one of the finest Vachanas of the World Teacher Basavanna in the 12th century. It rings the truth that the religion without compassion is like the tree without roots. Religion pleads virtue, humanity and compassion. Here, Dharma means life and there is life in it. so, the Vachanakara pleads for humanity or compassion. If compassion is there; a sinner can become a saint. This is my opinion.
